Learning How to Relieve Back Pain Naturally

 

To a chronic back pain sufferer, a good day is one where he or she is able to have a 'normal' day, doing their regular work with minimal pain, instead of being confined to their bed or the sofa, unable to do anything. If you are one of them, than you would surely be thrilled to learn how to relieve back pain naturally, without all the pain pills and/or medications you may be taking now. Canandaigua Chiropractic would like to share two stories of back pain sufferers who finally learned how to relieve back pain – naturally and permanently. Their discoveries will likely surprise you!

The Story of Dr. Alan Jenks – Chiropractor:

Dr. Alan Jenks is a Chiropractor who has helped many others find relief from back pain. He had taught others how to relieve back pain on a regular basis. He did not realize that he did not fully understand or know everything about back pain, until one day he became the victim himself. On this fateful day, he came home from his office earlier than usual. It was a beautiful sunny day, so he decided to help his wife in the garden. His good deed turned out to cost him a lot!

When he bent down to pull a few weeds, he felt something pull in his back, the immediate pain was so intense that he fell on the ground, incapable of standing upright. His wife, also a Chiropractor, was able to adjust him and this helped relieve the back pain temporarily. But the pain came back. Several more adjustments, and it was the same story. Back adjustments did not seem to be the answer this time.

Dr. Alan found it hard to admit that he could not fix his own problem, when he had fixed so many others' back pain. He had lots of testimonials from his patients that he had helped. Why could he not help himself? One morning a bit later he had an ice pack on his back after having an adjustment, he was reading and came across a report that said you could relieve lower back pain by bringing your knees up to your chest 10 times.

He decided to try it, and ended up having his pain become much worse. Canandaigua Chiropractic would love to share the rest of the story here but it's a bit too long. To conclude it quickly, Dr. Alan discovered that he needed to learn a lot more about how to relieve back pain. He spent a lot of time doing research and found some interesting things about exercises to help stabilize and strengthen your back. He began using the program and two weeks later he was pain free!

He began implementing the program into his normal routines of treating his patients with excellent results. To his surprise he began getting referrals from his patients because they were so impressed with their results. He started getting requests for the information in the program to be written down so they could take it home and share it with others. Eric Wong's Story – Creator of the 'Bulletproof Back System'

Eric, another former back pain sufferer, has been a strength and conditioning coach for the past 10 years, and helps individuals get fit and athletes get into top-notch condition. He had a major back operation over 14 years ago – the operation was supposed to be a risk-free procedure, but it ended up with complications… so he had a second, emergency, procedure done to try and fix the first problem. This only ended up getting even more invasive, and they had to cut through muscles and more to get to the root of the problem.

Not surprisingly, Eric was left with biomechanical problems that caused him constant and recurring back pain. He still worked out and managed to stay in great shape, but was never without pain. He got prescription pain killers from his doctor, (sound familiar?) and thought he might have to choose to live on them forever, while trying to pretend that everything was 'okay', and that this was his new 'normal', or he could just try to live with the pain. Living without the pills was the healthier choice.

Eric knew more than most, and understood that living on pain killers was not the answer. He choose to do without the pills, but had to live with his painful decision daily. He was still involved with sports and began lifting weights. His condition improved, but his pain did not disappear. He also tried massage and chiropractic treatment. Neither gave him consistent or lasting relief. (Yes, we admit that chiropractic is not a perfect cure-all!) In extreme cases like Eric's, sometimes there needs to be a different solution.

Then Eric heard of a guy named Paul Chek, widely known as one of the top corrective exercise specialists in the world. He went to hear Paul speak at a fitness conference and was completely blown away by Paul's presentation. Eric spent the next two years and a whopping $10,000+ to learn all he could from Paul. Eric did not feel that the money was a waste, the education he received was money well-invested. Investing in education is generally not a bad idea.

What he learned helped him with his back, but it still did not completely cure him from the occasional pain and stiffness. However, after living with so much constant pain, Eric was happy with where his back was. It was only when he began getting into training for high-level Martial Arts that he found the last piece to the puzzle of learning how to relieve back pain, naturally and permanently. It is no high-tech secret, rather, it is a simple thing that is the #1 cause of back pain, and here it is; REPETITIVE STRESS.

It is the daily wearing of doing the same activities over and over – activities that might not seem harmful or be painful now, but are still causing stress to your body. (An example of this is something that happened to a friend of mine. She used to jog every day on the blacktopped road. She loved it. What she didn't know was that jar the hard surface of the black top was wearing down her joints. Today she has very bad knees and heels, and there is no easy fix for it. Her bones have been worn down. And she is only 35! She does not live with constant pain, but she can no longer jog.)

Now, back to Eric – He began posting about back pain on his training blog and was astonished at how many athletes responded, saying that they lived with constant back pain. That was the deciding factor that made Eric put everything he had discovered in his journey of learning how to relieve back pain into words, and he developed a step-by-step program, which he calls the 'Bulletproof Back System' to help others learn how to eliminate their back pain, without making all the mistakes and wasting all the time that he did.
